Very sturdy and heavy which is what I wanted. I have a 49" on it and it fits just fine. The sides of the TV are over the edge by a half inch. So the dimensions listed are accurate. It's the perfect height for my bedroom.On a side note, the box it's shipped in is thin and flimsy. The box arrived looking like it had been "through it". But, everything was padded well with styrofoam and was surprisingly intact and undamaged upon arrival. They should put the box inside a sturdier one for shipping.Very attractive and clean looking. Easy to put together. Price was reasonable. I used it for my audio equipment. Very sturdy!
