it fitsI've always liked Columbia jackets, they always seemed to give good performance for the money. But, the last couple of jackets haven't lived up to the name. This one, the Whirlibird 3, looks and fits me well. The trouble started after the first wash, when one of the stitches on the left sleeve of the liner came unraveled, causing the sleeve to be too tight to get my arm thru. I had to break the stitching to get it on. Now there's loose thread hanging on the outside. The other problem is the waterproof zipper on the outer shell, it hasn't broken yet, but it will fail soon, I can feel it. So I am glad I got it on sale, because I'd hate to pay 200 for it and only have it last one winter. The jacket before this, another Columbia (non interchange) had the zipper fail after 2 winters. I'm done with Columbia products.I needed a waterproof winter coat for those snowy days in the Midwest. This one fits the bill. I love the zip in/out liner with Omni-Heat. Omni-heat definelty lives up to the hype. One of the warmest jacket so own. The Shell is waterproof and provides zipper vents in the armpit in case it starts getting too warm. My only complain is that the material does not stretch. Added stretch would make this jacket even more comfortable and easy to be active while wearing.Purchased this jacket for my brother who's a big and tall guy. I had difficulty finding the 3X Tall size in stores and even online. But leave it to Amazon to have his size in stock and in multiple colors. It fit him perfectly and is warm with the extra liner that can be zipped out. He lives in the Northwest HIlls in CT where the temperatures are much colder. Amazon had one left in the Teal/Black combo and the color was just as pictured. With Amazon Prime, it arrived in 3 days. Very satisfied with purchase and selection.this is the nicest jacket I've ever had. I've bought 4 in total. 2 as gifts. I live in Colorado and I ride my bike to work every day. even in the winter. I would recommend this to anyoneI bought this coat for winter camping. Like others I own of it, it is warm!! I did get it a little bit larger to layer up while temps could drop to the single digits! Remember Columbia stuff runs small, so order up a size...Amazing coat! I use this coat for riding my atv in the snow. We were in 15 degree weather going 50 plus MPH all day today and I wasn’t cold at all. Don’t hesitate, just buy!!Great coat that is very warm and is long enough for a tall guy. My lighter winter coat is a 3xlt. I got the 4xlt here because I expect to wear a bit more under it. Wish I bought this years ago.Fast delivery. Item is exactly as described.
