This room divider is so very attractive. People visiting stop in their tracks to ask about it and express how lovely it is. I have had for it at least two years now and should have reviewed it earlier, but being stuck at home during a pandemic has a way of giving you more time than you ever imagined. It does have two small tears in it now, but if you don't let clumsy people transport it for you....it will be fine.I don't reccomend this item. Within one week it started to 'bubble', 'warp'. And the boards cracked. It's just so fragile. I truly wanted this for my birthday, I didn't mind that the color was more of a darker orange than the yellow, but it wasn't long before I started to notice all the imperfection/ damage. It sits in a formal dining room for decor and isn't opened and closed. I understand these screens are delicate but to bubble and crack without being used isn't worth the money.Very beautiful Shoji. Panels feel like a heavy type of paper. One side has the design you see, the other side is plain white. This is what I would call light blocking. Nice quality wood and hinges. I did have a couple of cracked crossbars, but I just used some wood glue to fix them. Stands on its own very well as long as you put it in a W shape. I was fortunate to buy this on sale.The color was mire orange yellow, than the yellow that looks in pic.So far so good, It is a nice screen, very colorful.These are pretty and still lets in some light. They are a bit more durable than I expected. But you still must handle with care.From the picture,I had high hopes for this room divider and wasn't disappointed. It's absolutely beautiful and very well made and sturdy. Also, it looks much more expensive than it was, always a plus. I've had many positive comments from guests but more importantly, I'm 100% satisfied with it.Quality was good, but bought to big. I allowed for it to stand zigzagged , but didn't need that much extra.Should have bought a four panel. Colors are quite bold.
