after 2 washes materil burstiedThey just didn't hold up long enough. I'm switching to try other brands to see if they hold up better. I bought 9 pairs of these and there's only 2 left that haven't ripped in a year. Not good work pants, they are only good for casual wear.I'm 6'1" and I have both a belly and a but. Apparently these pants were cut with guys who only have one of those in mind. Perhaps they will relax and become comfortable but right now the whole seat/crotch area is too darned snug. Hashbrowns big guy problems.I'm a big guy, 6/ 2", 280 ish lbs, and I've been buying Lee big and tall carpenter jeans for years now since Wrangler decided to start making their side pockets too small to hold a cell phone. I loved my Lees they were always loose and comfortable and the side pocket is perfect for my phone. So recently I needed new jeans and bought 5 pair of these. When I got them I put on a pair and instantly knew something was very wrong. They were very tight in the waist and all the way down through the thighs. Sitting was uncomfortable. I hadn't gained wait so I went and looked at my order history and the loose and comfortable jeans I have been buying all these years are the Lee Men's Big-Tall CUSTOM FIT Carpenter Jeans. Both say "loose fit" but the definition of loose seems to vary.If you get these and they are suddenly tighter than your old ones, or you are just looking for looser jeans you probably want the custom fit jeans instead.Of course Amazon was great at handling the return and refunded quickly so I could get the correct ones.I bought these and another pair of Wranglers with a slightly different blend of cotton and nylon spandex material (which also fit very well). Not only does the spandex help the jeans move with you better (than pure cotton) but I believe it also helps with its' durability over a pure 100% cotton jean? It's been almost two years now and I'm about to buy two more pair in different colors this time, so it's evident I really like these... hopefully you will too!I had to exchange a size 52 for a size 54 to get the same fit I wore for two years.....the old pants were a size 52.My only concern has been that the hammer loop is FAR TOO BIG. I have never swung a hammer with a 5" diameter shaft. If I did have a hammer that large it would be a battle hammer and I would not be wearing jeans into battle! So have the loop shortened or removed unless you want to catch it on passing aircraft and be pulled away . . .The leg pocket is just the right size and the jeans fit comfortably. They seem to wear a bit long though. I have other pairs of 32' leg jeans that do not drag the floor when I walk. These only wear well when I also wear my Dr. martens that are 1" soles. Good thing they go together well.It is hard to find any jeans in 48x29, much less carpenter jeans. Now I don't have to worry about the bottom of the legs getting ratty at the heel from getting stuck under my shoes.I guess there are actually some carpenters that buy these for their tools, but the reason for me is to put my cell phone in the ruler pocket. This one is just wide enough for my Razer Maxx HD with an Otter Box. I would prefer a slightly larger opening so I don't have to stand up to put the phone in it - and by the time the next round of phones comes along the ruler pocket will probably not be big enough. That said, I have 2 pairs of these because of the fit.Excelente calidad y la tela y los terminados. Recibí algo mejor de lo que imagine. Lo voy a volver a comprar.Muy recomendable. Excelente prenda.
